Current update on Casinos in Ohio Created on Tuesday, 05 April 2011 08:03 Ohio Casino Update; Ohio is well on its way to becoming the newest casino jurisdiction in the United States, with casinos in Cleveland and Toledo expected to open in early 2012. The $300 million Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, operated by Rock Ohio Caesars LLC, will open in the historic Higbee Building in downtown Cleveland, with a permanent casino also in the works at a nearby location near the Cuyahoga River. Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino Toledo will also open early next year. Rock Ohio’s Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, a $350 million project, is expected to open in late 2012, while Penn National’s Hollywood Casino Columbus is stalled with legal issues and squabbling between Penn National and local officials. Cleveland will have its first very own casino by 2013.  The renovations are currently taking place!  There will be 2000+ Slots, Venues, etc,..
